Develop Inclusive Leadership Skills and Create a Value-Driven Firm Culture

Join AIA Minnesota’s National Intercultural Leadership Program (NILP), a nine-session virtual leadership development program.

Registration for the 3rd national cohort is now open. The program consists of 9 two-hour weekly sessions from May through June and costs $570 for AIA and/or NOMA members. Program content addresses topics such as self-awareness, power, conflict, and culture change and learning styles vary from lectures to small and large group conversations and interactive exercises. Individuals are introduced to strategies, tools, and other practical resources that they can take away and apply successfully within their firms and organizations.

In addition, participants receive their personal Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Assessment, a one-on-one IDI profile debrief, and their Intercultural Conflict Styles (ICS) diagnostic assessment. Participants are also invited to join the national Community of Practice for Culture Change to support the application of their learnings.

Past participants include AIA staff and members from 14 states. The program was developed five years ago with significant input from Renee Cheng, the author of the AIA Guides for Equitable Practice, and beta tested in Seattle before being offered nationwide.

The program begins with Session 1 on April 18, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 CT. Registration is limited to 50 people. AIA Minnesota will issue a full refund for registration fees until March 28, 2023. After that date, all registration fees are considered non-refundable but are transferrable. For more information, visit: https://www.aia-mn.org/event/nilp2023/
