Congratulations to the AIA Women’s Leadership Summit 2024 Scholarship Recipients 🎉

Congratulations to both Roshni Krishnan, Associate AIA and Lea Litvin, AIA LEED AP BD&C on receiving AIA Philadelphia's first ever AIA Women’s Leadership Summit 2024 Scholarship. 🎉

AIA Philadelphia is supporting the Women’s Leadership Summit (WLS) 2024, hosted by the American Institute of Architects. This support will enable women architects from Philadelphia to attend the event, which focuses on firm leadership, advancing business knowledge, targeted networking, proactive career management, and personal empowerment. We are thrilled to send two individuals who have made a tremendous impact on the field of architecture in Philadelphia.

Roshni Krishnan, Associate AIA is a current COTE Co-Chair with the AIA Philadelphia Chapter and Associate Architectural Designer at Wulff Architects.

"The theme for this year’s Women’s leadership Summit is centered around building resilience and creating spaces. This theme resonates with some of the questions around belonging and being from a different culture. I often have questions if I belong and if my opinion matters. I am questioning my own notions around leadership. I have also been thinking more about leadership and communication. And how we create inclusive environments for different styles of leaders in a room." - Roshni Krishnan, Associate AIA

Lea Litvin, AIA LEED AP BD&C is an architect, female entrepreneur and WBE business owner at LO Design.

"In a competitive, male-dominated industry, it's essential to continuously develop skills to enhance our firm's capabilities and market presence. The Summit offers a chance to learn from accomplished leaders. For example, better understanding of best practices in project management will enable me to streamline our processes, improve operational efficiency, and ensure that LO Design projects are executed in alignment with our design excellence goals. - Lea Litvin, AIA LEED AP BD&C

We had many deserving women submit to this scholarship. We encourage all local firms to take initiative and pledge to send an employee to the AIA Women's Leadership Summit. Thank you to FIFTEEN Architecture + Design for pledging to send an individual. Thank you to the Women in Architecture Committee here at AIA Philadelphia for spearheading this new initiative!
