Women on the Board Share Why It Is Important to Celebrate Women's History Month

AIA Philadelphia's social media campaign during Women's History Month celebrates the invaluable contributions of women in architecture, design, and the built environment. We collected thoughts from our own women leaders on the importance of this month, and we are sharing their thoughts via Instagram.

“We need to encourage our students to continue in the profession, make it easier for them to move up the ranks through leadership.” - Fauzia Sadiq Garcia, RA, LEED AP, IFMA

“Being supported by so many incredible women has given me the courage to be bolder everyday.” - Danielle Fleischmann, AIA, WELL AP

"With more female representation at the leadership level, the rules of the game can change to create a much more inclusive profession, providing more opportunity for diverse voices to impact our built environment and our communities." - Ximena Valle, AIA, LEED AP

Thank you to our women leaders on sharing their thoughts. View the social media videos/content throughout the last week of Women's History Month on our Instagram.
