New Brunswick, NJ (March 5, 2026) – Vincent Myers, co-founding principal and president of DIGroup Architecture (DIG), is featured in a new executive interview with Multi-Housing News examining his architectural journey, leadership philosophy and commitment to community-centered design. The feature, titled “The New Jersey Architect Carrying the Blueprint Forward,” highlights Myers' career, the influence of his father, and DIG's ongoing work creating civic and institutional spaces that support education, health and community life.
“Architecture is the mother of all arts,” said Myers in the interview. “For us, every project is unique on its own. Every project that we work on is an opportunity for expression to create, first and foremost, spaces that energize people, spaces that unite people,”
Greatly influenced by his father, Harvey E. Myers, recognized among the first African American architects in New Jersey, Myers grew up surrounded by the profession and developed an early appreciation for architecture's ability to create opportunity and strengthen communities. That perspective has helped shape the mission of DIGroup Architecture, a minority-owned practice known for designing mission-driven civic and institutional projects including schools, libraries, research facilities, healthcare environments and senior living communities.
In the interview, Myers also reflects on the firm's collaborative origins, its evolution into a nationally recognized practice and the importance of mentorship in expanding pathways to architecture and related fields. Through programs such as the Architecture, Construction and Engineering (ACE) Mentor Program, DIG continues to support students and emerging professionals pursuing careers in the built environment.
As DIGroup Architecture approaches two decades of practice, Myers emphasizes the firm's continued focus on projects that deliver meaningful community impact while advancing thoughtful, inclusive design.
