The key to The Lighting Practice’s legacy of excellence is its talented team of lighting designers whose expertise spans multiple disciplines. These professionals bring together their ideas, knowledge, and talents to transform ordinary spaces into captivating and memorable places. TLP’s marketing team is growing, the firm recently hired two Kathleen Keaveny and Markeda Perkins to support our growing firm.
Kathleen Keaveny – Marketing Coordinator
Kathleen Keaveny joined The Lighting Practice in 2021 as a Marketing Coordinator. After receiving her B.A. in Journalism and Media Communication from Colorado State University in 2017, she aided the marketing efforts of a lighting rep agency in Denver. There, she focused on digital marketing strategy, event marketing, brand development and management, and assisted sales teams with proposal responses. Kathleen enjoys seeing ideas come to fruition through writing and graphic design. She welcomes the challenge of the process an idea must go through to result in a completed project that is visually rewarding. In this role, Kathleen will manage and enhance TLP’s marketing materials, online identity, and brand. In addition, she will provide graphic design support, photography coordination, and manage award and speaking proposal submission efforts. Kathleen is also involved with Women in Lighting + Design (WILD) providing marketing support to WILD National.
Markeda Perkins – Proposal Coordinator
Markeda Perkins joined The Lighting Practice in 2021 as a Proposal Coordinator. Before joining TLP, Markeda worked as a Senior Customer Service Specialist. With her studies in Communications at Cecil College, Markeda brings four years of experience with communications, case research and database management to the firm. In her new role, Markeda works closely with firm leaders as well as the marketing and accounting team assembling proposal responses and managing TLP’s pipeline database.
