[Jenkintown, Pa. | Stone Harbor, N.J.] Asher Slaunwhite Architects announced today that Laura Glantz, AIA, NCARB, has been promoted to Partner, joining founder Mark Asher, AIA, NCARB, and Partner Deborah Slaunwhite, AIA, NCARB, in firm leadership. In recognition, the firm has changed its name to Asher Slaunwhite + Partners (AS+P). AS+P maintains its headquarters in Jenkintown, Pa., and a second office in Stone Harbor, N.J., with a team of 20 individuals.

AS+P has built a reputation for residential architecture both along the Jersey Shore and in Greater Philadelphia. “Asher Houses” are known for timeless details and craftsmanship across traditional and contemporary styles. The addition of a new partner and the name change reflect the firm's continued growth and evolution since it was founded in 1993.

“It's recognition of how far we've come and of a bright future ahead,” said Asher. “Along with excellent design, client relations, and project management skills, Laura brings energy and enthusiasm to studio management. Deborah and I are pleased to have her join us at the helm of AS+P.”

Glantz joined the firm as an Architectural Designer in 2010 after gaining experience in both urban and suburban projects in the Philadelphia region. She earned a promotion to Associate in 2017. Her recent projects have included an 8,400-sf beachfront residence in Longport, N.J., on the heels of a transitional bayfront home in Egg Harbor Township, N.J. Currently, Glantz is overseeing construction of a 4,000-sf modern bayfront home in Avalon, N.J., to be completed this year, with two traditional beachfront homes set for completion in the same town in 2024.

A registered architect, Glantz is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and holds National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) certification. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from Drexel University in 2007, where her thesis was awarded the Pearson Prize Bronze Medal. She lives in Glenside, Pa., with her husband and son.

“As a Partner, I'm excited to tap into our company's potential and to contribute to our future growth and opportunity,” said Glantz. “I also look forward to an increased mentorship role, and hope to impart the same balance of wisdom, wit, and encouragement that Mark and Deborah have shown to me over the years.”

“Laura's design talent is evident in everything she does,” added Slaunwhite. “She focuses her keen eye for detail not only on producing stunning designs for delighted clients, but also on constant improvements to the studio's design and production standards.”
