On the Move |
To complement its growing practice and better serve clients, CosciaMoos Architecture has hired Carter Reich, AIA, as Director of Project Delivery. In this role, Reich will work closely with the firm's leadership and project management professionals to deliver successful projects for clients.
Reich's decades of experience in project leadership and program management will benefit both the firm's clients and its internal team. He is dedicated to improving the entire design process, from planning and design through construction, and his emphasis on collaboration and accountability aligns with CosciaMoos' own values. Reich also has particular experience in the life sciences and technology, higher education, and commercial arenas that will add to the firm's expertise in those areas.
"I'm excited to join a dynamic, growing firm like Coscia Moos," says Reich. "I have played many roles in my career, and I look forward to sharing my experience with the team and enhancing the firm's offerings.”
A registered architect and capital projects strategist, Reich has directed and executed building design and construction for a number of firms, using all current best practice delivery methods including poly-party integrated project delivery. At CosciaMoos, he will work closely with firm leadership and the project teams, providing guidance, direction, and increased training opportunities to support effective project planning and management. As Director of Project Delivery, he will work with professionals across the firm's Commercial, Healthcare, Science & Technology, and Interior Design studios, as well as with the firm's trusted network of consultants, to ensure a streamlined process and the effective delivery of projects.
“We are always looking for ways to expand our offerings and add value for our clients, and Carter is just the person to help us do that,” said founding principal David Moos. “He has a wealth of project experience that will truly benefit our clients and younger designers.”
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Reich has worked with top architecture firms, including Ballinger, Ewing Cole, Sasaki, and EYP, where he served as a Shareholder Principal of the firm. He has managed or directed numerous large-scale projects, including a 650,000-sf R&D facility, a 230,000-sf LEED Gold university multi-phase science center, and numerous large-scale university laboratory and student union spaces. In addition to his architectural work, Reich also spent time as a Senior Project Strategist with Skanska USA, giving him insight into the construction side of the process and leading to a more comprehensive understanding of project delivery at every stage and from every angle.
