Philadelphia Emerging Architects |
As an ongoing initiative, we continue to highlight our key members and volunteers for the amazing work that they do. Zuzanna Bojarska Assoc. AIA is a great example of a dedicated and an inspiring volunteer!
About Zuzanna Bojarska, Assoc. AIA
Growing up in Poland, England, and Scotland before moving to the United States in 2014, Zuzanna Bojarska's multicultural background has profoundly shaped her approach to architecture and design. These experiences have instilled in her a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and a commitment to creating spaces that prioritize a people-first approach. She is passionate about using her skills to serve others, actively engaging in pro-bono projects and collaborative community initiatives.
Zuzanna is dedicated to making a broader impact through her volunteer work and leadership. As a Marketing Strategist and Content Creator for Philadelphia Emerging Architects (PEA), she has successfully increased engagement, ticket sales, and assists with creating networking opportunities for design professionals. She also hosts Collage and Connect at the Center for Architecture, a popular (network while crafting) series that raises funds for design education in Philadelphia's K-12 public schools.
One of her most meaningful pro-bono projects was assisting with the transformation of an abandoned school into the Centro Culturale Collettivo in Simeri, Italy. Collaborating with an international team, she focused on furniture design to revitalize the space as a vibrant community hub. This initiative exemplifies her passion for blending design with cultural preservation and community engagement.
In addition to her volunteer work, Zuzanna actively participates as a speaker, sharing her experiences and insights as a panelist for students and young professionals. Her dedication to cultural exchange, community engagement, and education aligns with her professional work, where she serves as an Ambassador for SLAM DEI and leads Community Engagement/Outreach for SLAM's pro-bono committee.
Zuzanna firmly believes that to truly make a difference, action is essential. The diverse skills and tools architects acquire have incredible potential to create positive changes in the built environment, especially when shared with the broader community and across other sectors. By fostering collaboration and cultural exchange, she strives to leave a lasting, positive impact on individuals and communities alike.
Cheers to Zuzanna for all the work she does in helping better our profession!
