The award-winning renovation and expansion of Philadelphia's historic Engine 37 firehouse has earned LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The project was recognized under the LEED v4 Building Design and Construction: New Construction and Major Renovations rating system with a total of 56 points.

CBP Architects designed the project to include energy, material, and water conservation strategies, which contributed to the LEED Silver certification. The renovated Engine 37 facility accommodates state-of-the-art firefighting standards and has gained an elevated presence in its Chestnut Hill community.

“LEED certification identifies Engine 37 Expansion as a showcase example of sustainability and demonstrates leadership in transforming the building industry.”

Peter Templeton, President and CEO, U.S. Green Building Council
