Congratulations to Gnome Architects LLC on winning a Merit Award for their “The Vine” project.

The site of a former historic group home in Fairmount provides a unique challenge for a contemporary condominium building. The neighborhood’s rich cultural heritage is at the forefront of this design, with the original corner building anchoring the site. A contemporary expansion sits in juxtaposition to the historic structure, taking cues from the building’s volume, masonry detail, and fenestration patterns.
