Our Next Chapter: 1218 Arch Street Is for Sale

Since 2009, 1218 Arch Street has been more than just our address, it’s been a home for AIA Philadelphia, DesignPhiladelphia, Community Design Collaborative, and many other partners. It’s where ideas have taken shape, collaborations have flourished, and community has grown. We’re grateful for everything this space has meant to us and to you.

Now, as reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer, we’ve made the decision to list 1218 Arch Street for sale. This move is part of a broader strategy to support our long-term financial health and reinvest in programs, partnerships, and spaces that reflect the evolving needs of our community.

With a growing membership and a mission that continues to expand, we are embracing this opportunity to align our physical space with how we work and connect today, and tomorrow.

A dedicated task force, including board members from all three organizations, is leading the transition. While we’re still finalizing details, we’re excited to share that we’ll be announcing our next location soon. We’re confident you’ll be just as excited about what’s ahead.
