AOS is pleased to announce the promotion of Paul Avazier, AIA, LEED AP BD+C to Principal. This promotion recognizes the outstanding contributions that Paul has made to the firm since joining in 2007.

This past year, in acknowledgement of his contributions professionally and within the architectural community, Paul was honored with both the prestigious AIA National Young Architect Award and the AIA Pennsylvania Emerging Professional Award. Having received the AIA Philadelphia Young Architect Award in 2016, Paul has the rare distinction of being recognized at all three levels with national, state, and local honors.

Paul currently serves as President of the Board of Directors at the Philadelphia Center for Architecture + Design where he is involved in promoting design education in public schools and celebrating the importance of design through public engagement. In 2020, he served as President of AIA Philadelphia after previously acting as Vice President and a Director on the Board of Directors. Paul holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Drexel University.

Outside of work, Paul enjoys time with his wife and two children. This past summer, they went on a rafting trip through the Grand Canyon. He is also a scout leader and is active in a myriad of his kids' sports and activities.

Paul contributes to the firm in many ways as a designer, project manager, and mentor. As a Principal, he will increase his involvement in marketing and business development and will help guide the firm as it continues to evolve and grow.

Congratulations to Paul!
