NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ I Philadelphia, PA [April 23, 2026] – Entering its milestone 20th anniversary year, DIGroup Architecture (DIG) has secured top honors in MidAtlantic Real Estate Journal (MAREJ)'s Annual “Best of 2025” awards. The firm was recognized for its industry-shifting designs, revolutionary community and school projects and a workplace culture that continues to redefine the modern architectural studio.

DIG's accolades span the full spectrum of its architecture, interior design and environmental graphics design expertise:

  • Best Public Building: Long Branch Free Public Library (Long Branch, NJ)
  • Best Project Breaking Ground: Allentown School District Family & Community Resource Center (Allentown, PA)
  • Best Interior Architecture: Mercer County Technical School District Culinary Lab (Pennington, NJ)
  • Best Place to Work [Company Culture]
  • Best Giving Back [Community Outreach]

These latest awards underscore DIG's mission to deliver purpose-built designs that challenge conventional thinking. In Long Branch, the firm's $5.5M transformation of the “Carnegie by the Sea” Long Branch Free Public Library Main Branch resulted in the historic transformation of a 1916-era heritage building. By injecting 21st-century infrastructure, DIG is ensuring this historic anchor remains a vibrant resource for the inclusive community it serves.

Similarly, DIG's Allentown School District Family & Community Resource Center – the firm's first Architect-of-Record assignment in the Lehigh Valley – reimagines the school-family connection. The $11M, light-filled hub centralizes student enrollment with health services and workforce development, effectively dismantling systemic barriers through compassionate, one-stop access.

Additionally, the interiors team was acknowledged for its work on the $1.8M Culinary Lab for Mercer County Technical School District, which stands as a “future-proof” learning environment. Featuring a full-height glass storefront, the lab mirrors high-end professional kitchens, bridging the gap between classroom instruction and real-world hospitality careers.

“For two decades, DIG has been driven by a singular purpose: to design for impact beyond the blueprint,” said DIG CEO Jeff Venezia. “Our entire team was instrumental in each of these assignments and I congratulate them on putting into practice our commitment to bold, innovative work that shifts the industry toward more equitable and human-centric design. As we celebrate 20 years, we remain focused on delivering groundbreaking ideas that empower all throughout the diverse communities who need our expertise most.”

Empowering Culture and Community
Rounding out DIG's “Best of” honors is being named a Best Place to Work. Since its founding, the firm fosters a collaborative studio culture rooted in mentorship and the advancement of underrepresented voices. This internal empowerment also translates directly into the firm's recognition in the Giving Back category for its initiatives prioritizing STEM mentorship and professional access for students from diverse backgrounds. By investing in its people and its neighbors, DIG continues to prove that architecture is a powerful tool for social progress.
