Academy of Architecture for Health |
For this year’s Annual Meeting, AIA Philadelphia invited all committees to participate in a peer-nomination process to recognize outstanding volunteers within the organization. This initiative aimed to highlight individuals who have made significant contributions and demonstrated commitment to their committees and the broader architectural community.
Congratulations to Traci L. Luckenbill, AIA on being recognized as being "Always on it!" for the Healthcare Committee! 🎉
Traci Luckenbill is the Managing Partner at Blackney Hayes, where she brings over 20 years of diverse design experience and leadership to the table. Her career has been driven by a belief that architecture is deeply personal—that the spaces we inhabit shape our health, our productivity, and our lives.
Traci’s work spans multifamily housing, K–12 schools, healthcare, commercial offices, adaptive reuse, and more. She has led teams through complex projects for clients ranging from public school systems and healthcare networks to nonprofit organizations and private developers. As both a design leader and former educator, Traci is passionate about fostering collaboration, mentoring emerging professionals, and pushing for thoughtful, human-centered solutions. Whether managing a design team or speaking to an audience, Traci is known for her clarity, empathy, and ability to connect big-picture vision with practical implementation.
Over the past eight years, Traci has had the privilege of collaborating with the Academy of Architecture for Health committee to foster a sense of community among healthcare design professionals in Philadelphia. Working alongside Denise, Catherine, and other esteemed colleagues, Traci has helped develop and deliver programming that encourages connection, dialogue, and innovation within the local design community. This collaborative effort enhances the solutions we provide for our clients, ultimately improving the experiences of those who inhabit the spaces we create.
