C. Raymond Davis & Sons Recognized with Two Excellence in Construction Awards

C. Raymond Davis & Sons is pleased to announce that our recently completed Private Residence, Washington project and Paoli Presbyterian Church project were recognized with 2022 Excellence in Construction Awards by the Associated Builders and Contractors Eastern PA Chapter.

Winning Best Residential Project $1-5 Million, the private residence project involvedconstructing a 7,500 sqft modern farmhouse on an idyllic preserved farmland property in Washington, NJ. The home was uniquely designed around a historic southern pecan tree, and extreme care had to be exercised throughout construction to avoid damaging the root system. Built with an Energy Star approach, the home is equipped with a smart home system that controls shading, lighting, audio, and video surveillance systems; an emergency generator; lightning suppression; and commercial-grade electrical and Wi-Fi service. Additional features include a floating staircase, white oak flooring, masonry fireplaces, custom cabinetry, a whiskey collection room, and a residential elevator. The project was designed by Ralph C. Fey, AIA Architects of Doylestown, PA.

Receiving Best Institutional Project $1-5 Million, the Paoli Presbyterian Church projectincluded building an addition next to the sanctuary with a kitchen and seating area, opening up the corridor off the narthex to improve the flow of foot traffic into the new gathering area, adding a three-stop elevator, and renovating the sanctuary, bathrooms, and narthex. C. Raymond Davis & Sons was the Design-Builder for this project in partnership with Cornerstone Design Architects of Lancaster, PA.
