C. Raymond Davis & Sons, Inc. (CRD) is pleased to announce the completion of Phase 1 of a new campus for Gemma Services' Martin Luther School in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. CRD provided construction management services to transform an existing three-story commercial office building into a modern educational facility serving students in grades K-12.
Located at 5200 Butler Pike, the 80,000 sqft building now features over 30 classrooms, two cafeterias, a commercial kitchen, library, counseling spaces, administrative offices, flexible meeting areas, and other student and faculty support spaces.
The project's adaptive reuse approach presented unique construction challenges, requiring careful coordination, sequencing, and creative problem-solving throughout the renovation. With a considerable portion of the existing finishes and building components designated to remain, CRD took great care to protect these elements while simultaneously completing extensive renovation work throughout the facility.
Completed on schedule, the new Martin Luther School campus welcomed students for the 2026 academic year, providing an engaging and functional environment that will serve its students and faculty for years to come.
Phase 2 Expands Campus with New Athletic and Performing Arts Facilities
Construction is currently underway on Phase 2, which will further expand the Martin Luther School campus with a 27,000 sqft addition. The addition will include a multipurpose gymnasium, black box theater, and elective classrooms, providing additional spaces for athletics, performing arts, and hands-on learning. The second phase also includes the construction of a new outdoor track, multi-sport turf field, and bleachers.
Both phases of the new Martin Luther School campus were designed by Kimmel Architecture.
