'Of Birds & Buildings…' A Family Happy Hour at The Philadelphia Discovery Center

Let's meet for an indoor-outdoor Happy Hour on the waterfront of the bird-friendly Discovery Center to celebrate Spring and the return of our beautiful native birds.

You and yor family can explore various educational stations and activities offered by our partner organizations and participate in the City Nature Challenge. We willl be joined by Audubon Mid-Atlantic, Bird-Safe Philly, International Dark Sky Association, the Schuylkill Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic, the Philadelphia Beekepers Guilld, Digsau Architects, Physicians for Social Responsibility and the AIA Committee on the Environment, and others.

A short panel discussion will follow with Keith Russell (Audubon), Tim Beatly ( Director of the Biophilic Cities Network and author of The Bird Friendly City), and Jamie Unkefer of DIGSAU, the architect of the bird friendly Discovery Center building, and Dan Wolk MD, a medical professional to draw the link between urban wildlife and human health.

Admission is free...but please register so we can prepare for you.
