2023 Master Builders' Dialogues

The topic of this year's talks is "Leadership & Legacies: Ownership Transitions in AEC Firms."

The architecture, engineering and construction professions are on the cusp of a seismic shift in ownership as many owners and senior principals ponder retirement or stepping back from day-to-day leadership, while younger principals and staff are looking ahead to their own futures at the same time. Meanwhile, economic forces are pushing AEC leaders to sell, merge or pursue other organizational structures. Using first-hand stories and case studies from right here in Philadelphia, we will explore the personal and professional aspects of preparing for–and navigating–leadership and ownership transitions in AEC firms.
