SCUP PRE-CONFERENCE PANEL ON MASS TIMBER

PHILADELPHIA, Penn. – February 23, 2023 – In anticipation of the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) Mid-Atlantic Conference in Philadelphia, a panel of AEC industry professionals will present, “Making Mass Timber Pencil: From College Campuses to High-Rise Towers” on Tuesday, March 7, at the Center for Architecture & Design in Philadelphia, from 5-8pm.

The event is hosted by DCI Engineers, KSS Architects, Gilbane Building Company and Lake Flato Architects. With the use of mass timber spreading across the country, this panel of designers and builders will share how they have applied this innovative material to their projects.

Topics include WHO is building with mass timber; WHY mass timber is a choice material; HOW mass timber is being done cost-effectively; WILL mass timber be here to stay; WHEN to bring in mass timber partners; and WHAT building officials think of the mass timber code.
