Congratulations to Studio 6MM on winning the Silver Award for their “The Rev. Leon H. Sullivan Community Impact Center” Project.

The Rev. Leon H. Sullivan Community Impact Center will bring together a constellation of diverse programs dedicated to community well-being as determined by local residents. The building program was developed as a result of a year-long effort by the Community Design Collaborative and Partners for Sacred Spaces titled “Sacred Spaces, Civic Places.”

An intensive community engagement process identified multiple needs for this under-served and deserving community. Issues focusing on long-term financial sustainability, programming for at-risk youth, systems to improve community access to health care, and a desire for broader access to jobs training programs influenced the programming effort.
