ISA Wins an Honor Award for their Sawyer Art Apartments Project

2022 AIA Philadelphia Design Awards - General Unbuilt Category

Congratulations to ISA for winning an Honor Award for their Sawyer Art Apartments project.

Sited along W McNichols between University of Detroit Mercy and Marygrove College, and within the Detroit Live6 community, Sawyer Art Apartments aims to provide an affordable, mixed-use anchor for the re-emerging neighborhood corridor.

The development team, deeply committed to place-keeping, is proposing an incremental, right-sized investment. It aims to inclusively develop neighborhood housing that is affordable and attractive to existing residents rather than applying new economic pressures leading to gentrification and exclusion.
