This 1-hour continuing education course presents One Art 2.0 Campus Master Plan, a community-driven conceptual design study led by the Community Design Collaborative in partnership with the One Art Community Center stakeholders and volunteer design professionals as a mid-point milestone. 

The course examines strategies that enhance and expand the offerings and functionality of the existing campus while maintaining the identity and organic nature of the site. Participants will review the design process thus far, featuring the information gathered from community engagement and existing conditions analysis that will guide the next steps of design. They will be prompted on how conceptual design development, focusing on how coordinated interventions including intentional lighting, wayfinding, shading, and safety improvements, can uplift this urban sanctuary. 

The session highlights best practices in community-engaged design, reenvisioning existing spaces, activating and greening exteriors, creating spaces for all ages, and enhancing functionality, emphasizing how multidisciplinary design teams integrate stakeholder input, urban design principles, accessibility requirements, environmental stewardship, and implementation strategies into cohesive conceptual plans.
