This CLE program highlights Pennsylvania’s powerful Environmental Rights Amendment (the “ERA”), which governs development throughout the Commonwealth. The ERA makes all public officials – elected and appointed – trustees for the environment and all Pennsylvanians beneficiaries of that trust. But the ERA is not just about what public officials, developers, architects and planners may not do, but also what they can and are empowered to do.
Our panelists are active in designing sustainable buildings, environmental justice and engaging in work to protect the climate for communities in the spirit and letter of the ERA. They will address the following topics among others:
