Jefferson Health’s Honickman Center located at 1101 Chestnut Street completed in 2024 is landmark building in the Market East neighborhood of Philadelphia.Ennead Architects and New Hudson Facades will explain in depth how a successful design assist collaboration enabled an ambitious design to be realized through shared design development and thoughtful decision-making. Through early engagement with the contracting team – challenges were able to be identified and mitigated – and even turned into design opportunities.During this presentation architects Kate Kulpa and Jarrett Pelletier of Ennead will discuss how the role of the design assist process and strong engagement from the development and contracting team help to influence the design and execution of the project. Matt Naugle of New Hudson Facades will describe the challenges and solutions necessary to deliver a bespoke façade system through the Covid-19 pandemic.
