Even architects who have been in practice for years may not have experienced a professional liability claim, but statistics show that many architects will , in fact, be involved in a claim at some time during their careers. This course will: (1) provide indicators that a claim is coming, (2) show where claims come from and how often they occur, (3) explain why claims happen and demonstrate some key problem areas, and (4) define methods to avoid and mitigate claims.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to identify indicators that a professional liability claim may be developing.
Participants will have a better understanding of where claims come from and how often they occur.
Participants will develop clearer insights into why claims happen and key problem areas for architects.
Participants will define specific methods to avoid and mitigate claims.
