AI in the Design Workflow: From SketchUp Model to Client-Ready Visualization
Zoom

AI visualization is becoming easier to access, but producing an attractive image is only part of the
challenge. For architects and designers, the more important question is how to use AI without losing the
geometry, composition, and design intent already established in the model.
This one-hour session explores where AI-assisted visualization can fit into a SketchUp-based design
workflow, from early concept studies and material exploration to client presentations and proposal
imagery. Attendees will look at model-first AI workflows, ways to evaluate design fidelity, common failure
modes and hallucinations, and how AI-assisted imagery compares with more traditional rendering
workflows such as Enscape.
Using practical examples, the session will focus on choosing the right visualization approach based on
the stage of design, the level of accuracy required, and the communication goal. AI Enhance will be
demonstrated as one example of a model-grounded AI visualization workflow.
