As Pulitzer Prize-winner Edith Wharton wrote, "There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it." In this event, WIA Philadelphia invites you to make your own candle to spread the light of gender equity. Come #BreakTheBias and light a candle in celebration of International Women's Day with WIA Philadelphia!
For this event, we return to the Brickworks Studio for an in-person candle-making workshop led by local business, Wax+Wine (https://waxandwine.com/) while also enjoying light snacks and beverages.
International Women's Day is a global recognition celebrating the historical, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day invites everyone to envision what a world without gender inequity might look like, and to reflect on what action we can take against gender inequality around the world.
Thanks to our event sponsor and host, Brickworks Design Studio.
