School doesn’t teach much about claims. If we look at a typical engineering or architecture curriculum, we see courses on technical writing, computer fundamentals, materials, and design. Perhaps there are courses on sustainability, modeling, cost estimating, or designing for a specific industry like health care. You might even participate in a one-day workshop led by a local attorney on risk management, but at that stage of your education, the information likely seems remote and nebulous. So risk management typically comes in the form of on-the-job training. This course was created to help formalize that training.
