The Design Committee and Philadelphia Emerging Architects Committee are partnering to present a Design Conversation with three Emerging Practices, the latest installment in the AIA Philadelphia's Design Dialogues series. This program brings together the leaders of three dynamic practices to share their design philosophy by sharing current and recent projects. Participating practices include:
Oombra is a small, creative firm of design professionals, focused on creating thoughtful, unique and sustainable environments using skills forged through past experiences that are built on meaningful and lasting human relationships. Through a diverse range of expertise, OOMBRA creates thoughtful spaces and memorable places, meant to evoke a conversation, an emotion and an experience. OOMBRA takes a client’s objectives and communicates them through compelling designs. They believe successful architecture and placemaking is realized when the complexity of the problem is simplified through the design process, resulting in a clear expression of purpose, material, light, shadow and form. Through all of their work, OOMBRA strives to create a strong sense of community and a built world that enhances the human experience.
Speakers: AJ Reilly, AIA and Michael Brahler

LO Design is a boutique architecture and interiors firm doing a range of projects at varying scales including residential, commercial, and real estate development. We work with design-oriented clients who are looking to make a statement with their projects, whether a high-end single family home or a unique commercial space. We have a range of clients but also regularly design, develop, and build our own projects which gives us a high degree of control over the conceptual design and the process.
Speakers: Evan Litvin & Lea Oxenhandler Litvin, AIA
Leaders of three emerging practices, each recognized for design excellence, will share stories of the ideas that drive their work. There will be plenty of time for discussion and questions after the presentations.
