The Design Awards are here for 2022!
Again this year both the AIA Pennsylvania and AIA Philadelphia are including the Sustainability Form with submissions. This is our local version of the AIA National Framework for Design Excellence. It has been used successfully for the last 3 years to help guide the Design Review jurors as they evaluate the environmental efforts of each design submission.
This session on Wednesday 20 July will provide a concise introduction to the overall Framework and walk-through the Form to help people easily provide the information for any project. The Framework includes 10 "Measures" from Integration to Discovery. The presentation will be illustrated with recent national and local design award winning projects.
The session is open to everyone, with a focus on those involved in preparing the Design Awards submissions for both PA and Philly. It will be led by Brian Smiley, Jonathan Weiss and Sherman Aronson, members of the Committee on the Environment, AIA Philly and AIA PA. The registration link will be sent soon.
