This course is designed to assist the design team in selection, mounting consideration, safety, and complimenting the design.  It also touches upon controls and their limitation in automated operation.  This course is focused on the entry and mid-level designer.  However, a senior professional may benefit from this course as well, because styles and technology are ever changing in Sectional Garage door industry.

Learning Objectives:

1. Selecting the correct door for the correct application, with consideration given to usage, serviceability, parts availability and controls.
2. Mounting considerations as well as structural support for size and wind loading.  Operator type and location.
3. All garage doors are “on demand moving walls”.   Safety consideration for people and prevention of property damage in automated applications.
4. From an appearance perspective does this door look like it belongs and what kind or options are possible, taking into account the first three learning objectives.
