Brew up a strong cup of coffee and meet us online to hear from Natasha A. Trice, founder and CEO of The Nomad, a creative design and animation office with projects ranging from Malawi to Northern Ireland!
In her professional career, Natasha began working at the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), led by Rem Koolhaas, in their global headquarters. At OMA, Natasha was a key member of the Audrey Irmas Pavilion in Los Angeles, CA. A built community center that houses cultural event and religious spaces for Wilshire Boulevard Temple and its surrounding community. Other significant projects include her involvement in Sotheby's Auction House renovation in New York City, and Virgil Abloh's Figures of Speech Exhibition at The Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston. Additionally, Natasha has worked on international projects at MVRDV in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. At MVRDV, under Winy Maas, Jacob van Rijs, and Nathalie de Vries, she was the lead designer for multiple projects, including a mixed-use residential tower in Dubai.
Natasha has taught various courses both at Columbia University and Thomas Jefferson University, where she teaches Architectural Animations, a second-year core design course focusing on challenging architecture through animation. Natasha holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Thomas Jefferson University, and a Master of Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation.
