If you are curious about Fellowship - whether for yourself or for a colleague you wish to encourage, either now or in the future - please join us virtually on March 30 for an introduction to Fellowship presented by the Philadelphia Fellows Committee. Fellowship is one of the highest honors the AIA can bestow on a member, with only about 3% of AIA members having achieved this distinction, but the process is, to most members, obscure. The Fellows Committee, which promotes the excellence of Philadelphia architects by identifying and assisting qualified Chapter members to apply, hopes to add clarity!
This meeting will help you understand whether or not Fellowship is something you might wish to pursue. It will explain the qualifications the National Fellows jury is looking for, give you details about the application process and schedule, and provide resources including individual help offered by the Philadelphia Fellows Committee. You'll also hear from two new Fellows who tell you about their personal experiences and offer tips on the time-consuming job of putting together a successful application. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and contacts for further individual and confidential follow up.
