AIA Philadelphia engages in advocacy efforts throughout the City to promote a better built environment with opportunities for all. We elevate the profession by encouraging policies that support good design and sustainable practices. By working with a broad range of stakeholders, we strive to streamline regulatory requirements and reduce hurdles for practicing architects. 

The architectural community possesses a broad range of skills. We leverage those skills to provide input on local legislation, review proposed code changes, and help guide City officials on creating a better built environment.

In addition to our local efforts, the AIA is also engaged in advocacy at the State and National levels. Many of our members are involved in these endeavors as well.
