Job Overview:

The role of Junior Architect provides graphic and technical support to design teams in the firm. Staff Architects must possess strong interpersonal and time management skills, along with a passion for gaining new knowledge and skills within the architectural field. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

·        Survey existing structures.

·        Converting surveys into existing condition drawings based on firm standards.

·        Conduct and produce thoroughly researched zoning reviews.

·        Utilize software, such as SketchUp and Lumion, to produce renderings.

·        Utilize AutoCAD to draw details, plans and elevations per design team instruction.

·        Utilize Adobe Suite, such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, to produce design presentations.

·        Research project specific precedents and style precedents for presentations.

·        Utilize ResCheck software to assist project teams in producing documentation to ensure designs meet Energy Conservation

Code requirement.

·        Print drawings and prepare design presentations.

·        Assist project teams picking up redlines.

·        Assist project teams in any additional tasks.

 

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's degree in architecture. Master's degree preferred.

·        Proficiency in the following software preferred: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator

·        Ability to manage time and open communication with team members.

·        Inquisitive and motivated for continuous improvement.
