Hexagon Studio Architects is seeking a thoughtful and motivated Architectural Designer with 2–4 years of professional experience to join our Philadelphia studio.

At Hexagon Studio Architects, we believe that great architecture begins with fundamental ideas. Like the hexagon found throughout nature, our work is driven by efficiency, clarity, and purposeful design. Every decision is an opportunity to solve a problem thoughtfully, creating buildings that are timeless, resource-conscious, and uniquely responsive to their context.

Our studio works across residential, commercial, hospitality, adaptive reuse, and high-performance building projects, with a growing emphasis on Passive House and sustainable design. We are looking for someone who is curious, collaborative, and excited to contribute to meaningful architecture from concept through construction.

Responsibilities

·   Contribute to projects through all phases of design and documentation.

·   Develop design concepts, architectural drawings, and presentation materials.

·   Coordinate with consultants and project team members.

·   Participate in client meetings and site visits.

·   Develop construction documents.

·   Assist with construction administration and field observations as required.

·   Collaborate closely with the studio principal to deliver thoughtful, well-crafted design solutions.

Qualifications

·   Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.

·   2–4 years of professional architectural experience.

·   Highly proficient in Autodesk Revit

·   Proficient in graphic editing software such as Adobe Suite, Affinity or similar

·   Experience with visualization software such as Enscape, Lumion, or Rhino is a plus.

·   Familiarity with basic building science.

·   Able to produce clear and compelling architectural illustrations by hand or electronically

·   Prior experience creating construction documentation and detailing

·   Able to take ownership of tasks, effectively manage workflow, and possess the ability to extrapolate from generalities.

·   Interest in sustainable design and high-performance buildings

·   Self-motivated with a collaborative attitude and strong attention to detail.

What We're Looking For

Beyond technical skills, we're looking for someone who enjoys asking thoughtful questions, solving complex design challenges, and working as part of a close-knit team. We value designers who are intellectually curious, invested in the craft of architecture, and committed to creating buildings that make a lasting positive impact.

What We Offer

·   Opportunity to work directly with firm leadership on a diverse range of projects.

·   A collaborative studio where design ideas are shared openly.

·   Professional mentorship and opportunities for career growth.

·   Exposure to sustainable and Passive House design methodologies.

·   Competitive salary commensurate with experience and by firms of comparable size.

·   Flexible/hybrid work options.

·   Paid time off and benefits package.

To apply, applicants should submit a cover letter, current resume, and samples of their work to [email protected].
