Assistant Project Manager (Architect / Architectural Staff)

Location: Philadelphia/Wilmington suburbs — Office in Glen Mills, PA

Type: Full-Time | Onsite

Experience Level: 3+ years (4 - 5 preferred)

At Dever Architects, we're looking for the next generation of architectural leaders — whether you're a registered architect, on the path to licensure, or an experienced architectural staff member ready to grow into an Assistant Project Manager role.

We understand that great project managers don't always start with the title. If you've worked as a Project Coordinator or in a similar role and are ready to take the next step, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Support projects from concept through construction administration
  • Lead aspects of projects from early design through project delivery
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and consultants to deliver high-quality work
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and hours with a strong sense of accountability
  • Participate in design discussions and technical development
  • Grow into a Project Management role with mentorship and training from senior staff

What We're Looking For

  • A strong understanding of the architectural project lifecycle, including:
  • Exposure to or involvement in design, design development, construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration
  • Awareness of how budgets, schedules, and consultant coordination impact project success
  • A mindset that balances design excellence with business realities — understanding that creativity must align with client goals, timelines, and financial constraints
  • A commitment to delivering buildable solutions that respect scope, budget, and hours — not just artistic vision
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
  • A desire to grow into a Project Manager or beyond
  • Licensure is a plus, but not required — we support candidates on the path to licensure
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for building real things, not just drawings

Please apply even if you don't meet every qualification. We value potential, curiosity, and a strong work ethic just as much as experience.
