PROJECT ARCHITECT - HISTORIC PRESERVATION EXPERIENCE

VITETTA, a DRG Architects company, is a multi-disciplinary architecture firm specializing in public sector projects with a strong focus on Historic Preservation. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Architect with 7-12 years' experience to join our new Philadelphia office. In this in-studio role, you will lead the development and technical execution of projects, with a focus on education, cultural, civic and government sectors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong design and technical skills, leadership in project coordination, and a passion and experience in Historic Preservation.

The role involves leading architectural and technical efforts associated with assigned projects from concept through construction. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, the following.

Responsibilities:

·        Play a key role in the management of design and construction projects, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards, project schedules, and budgets

·        Utilize your expertise to contribute to the development and implementation of effective design strategies that meet project goals and client requirements

·        Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project approvals and successful outcomes

·        Collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and contractors to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the design and construction phases

·        Mentor and support fellow team members, fostering a collaborative work environment and contributing to their professional development

Requirements:

·        Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an accredited institution

·        Licensed Architect, preferable

·        7-12 years of professional experience, including work on historic landmarks

·        Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office

·        Strong knowledge of building codes, detailing and construction methods

·        Excellent collaboration, organizational, and communication skills

·        Passion for high-quality, purpose-driven design and technical excellence
