Kelli Glasgow of DIG Architecture Named 2026 “Woman of Influence” Diversity Champion

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ-PHILADELPHIA, PA-NEW YORK, NY [August 4, 2026] – DIG Architecture (DIG) Associate Principal Kelli Glasgow, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C, has been recognized by GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum as a 2026 Woman of Influence Diversity Champion. This individual distinction and national recognition is reserved for individual leaders who have made significant strides in advancing representation and inclusion within the industry.

As a member of the leadership team at DIG, a leading regional Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) firm, Glasgow ensures that diversity remains central to both the firm's culture and the built environment it shapes. Concurrently, as the 2026 President of the American Institute of Architects Newark & Suburban Architects (AIANS)—representing more than 600 members in New Jersey's largest AIA chapter, she champions a vision that extends beyond buildings, focusing on strengthening communities and fostering the next generation of AEC professionals.

“I have always believed architecture is a powerful tool for social change, and with that comes a certain responsibility to serve as a community anchor,” said Glasgow, who is a senior project manager. “My focus isn't just on physical spaces, it extends to building the diverse workforce necessary to lead our industry's future. By equalizing career pathways and creating environments where curiosity and learning can thrive, we ensure that the AEC industry reflects the communities we serve. I'm so pleased this Diversity Champion honor is shining a spotlight on these important efforts.”

At DIG, Glasgow is recognized for her hands-on leadership and ability to identify and develop design solutions that resonate with the human experience. In her role as Director of Employee Engagement, she has cultivated an internal culture that prioritizes people alongside project excellence. As a result of her contributions, DIG was named

an EPiC Firm in 2025 by AIA New Jersey, a distinction that honors the firm's commitment to equity and the professional advancement of emerging architects.

Specifically, Glasgow was acknowledged for a number of recent accomplishments reflecting her belief that every space is a chance to change a life. These include:

· The “Future-Architect Pipeline”: Glasgow nurtures partnerships with Newark's Architecture and Interior Design High School as well as vocational programs, creating a bridge between the classroom and the firm to broaden access for women and people of color.
· Higher-Ed Transformation: She is currently spearheading the $30M modernization of the Physical Education Center at Union College of Union County, a project designed to serve as a centerpiece for community hope and academic excellence.
· Civic Advocacy: In her AIANS Presidency, she champions a platform grounded in the three pillars of Student Mentorship, Public Awareness and Member Engagement to ensure the profession remains a perceptible force for social change.

From managing the Newark Board of Education's Long-Range Facilities Plan to advocating for federal policy changes in Washington, D.C., Glasgow remains inspired by the world around her. Her “retail lens” and non-traditional path that led her to architecture allow Glasgow to share possibility through design, ensuring that every project is a transformation that prioritizes the social and cognitive needs of the community.
