CBP Architects was delighted to attend the ceremonial groundbreaking for Rev. James Moore Senior Triangle Village, our affordable senior housing project now under construction in the Mantua neighborhood of Philadelphia. We joined our clients, Reverend Moore and Deacon Darren Simpson of Second Mount Zion Baptist Church and Francis Vargas, president of Elon Affordable Housing, LLC, along with Deputy Mayor Aren Platt, State Senator Vincent J. Hughes, Councilmember Jamie Gauthier, U.S. Congressman Dwight Evans, Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) CEO Robin Wiessmann, and others in celebrating this much-needed addition to the community.

Phase one of the two-phase project will bring a 40-unit, three-story affordable senior housing project to North 37th Street and Mantua Avenue that integrates well with the neighborhood's expanding market-rate construction. Rev. James Moore Senior Triangle Village will be Passive House Certified for its sustainability features.

The project team includes Cornerstone Consulting Engineers & Design Services, Inc.; Larsen and Landis Structural Engineers; Holstein White, Inc.; Earth Engineering; and BEAM, Ltd. Domus, Inc. is constructing the project.
