Jefferson's new 462,000 GSF Specialty Care Pavilion at 1101 Chestnut represents a transformative moment for the academic medial center's future and a significant investment in Center City as the region continues to rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic. The building will house many of Jefferson's nationally ranked services in one location, creating unparalleled convenience for patients. "We can't design the future of care delivery in buildings from the past," said Dr. Bruce Meyer, MD, MBA, President of Jefferson Health. "To reshape health care, redefine education, and revitalize care in our communities, we must create new settings in which breakthroughs are possible." Participants in this tour will gain an understanding of the complex site and hear from members of the design and development team about how the project came together. The building is expected to open in 2024.
