Highlighting Our Strategic Goals

Using Our New Website to Communicate What Is Important to Us

Over the course of the next few weeks, we will highlight different aspects of our new website and online community.  You will notice that many of our news items are tagged “Advancing Architecture and Design;” “Climate Action and Leadership;” or “Equity and Justice.” These three topics reflect the primary goals of the AIA Philadelphia and AIA National Strategic Plans.  We decided to organize our website news with these categories so that it would be very clear what AIA Philadelphia and our members are doing related to each category.

Just like our old website, we strongly encourage our members to submit news to our site. Now when you submit a story to us, you can also select a category.  Here are some examples of the types of stories we are looking for under these three strategic topics:

Projects. Let us know about your recent projects and what is extra special and innovative about your work.

Advocacy. Tell us about how you are advocating on behalf of the built environment and/or how you are advocating for the future of the architectural profession.  This can be at any scale.

Awards. Anytime you are recognized, either as an individual or a firm – tell us!

Innovative Business Practice. What are you doing that is helping your firm thrive? What are you doing to make your firm culture more inclusive and ensuring that your employees feel like they belong?

Community Service/Volunteering

If you want to submit a story that you feel falls into more than 1 of these categories – let us know. Currently, we can tag a story with 2 categories – so you’ll have to pick 2.

We hope this organization of our news content will help our members know what we’re working on and that we are constantly striving towards our strategic goals.
