In this course we explore why teams should consider incorporation of instrumentation and monitoring programs on their construction projects.  We share the benefits of instrumentation and monitoring and how it can be an effective tool to help owners and contractors proactively manage risk.  Our goal is to give attendees the information they need to better understand the value of these services and decide where they can benefit from utilizing these services.

Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will explore and have a better understanding of potential risks on construction projects.  Emphasis will be placed on construction in urban settings.
2. Gain knowledge of why it is important for Owners, Contractors, and Designers to incorporate instrumentation and monitoring programs on their projects.
3. Attendees will be able to recognize potential applications to their projects through a review of monitoring applications and real-life examples.
4. Participants will learn more about local jurisdiction requirements for monitoring.
