The program will highlight what 'Passivhaus' design is and the benefits both in the reduction of energy required for heating and cooling and the resultant savings in energy costs to the typical household, especially at a time of significantly increasing energy costs. The program will use examples from both the USA and the UK and discuss passivhaus design in both the rural and urban context.
