Join AIA Philadelphia’s L+I Committee and City Advocacy Group for an engaging conversation with Philadelphia's Streets Commissioner, Kristin Del Rossi. As part of our ongoing efforts to foster dialogue between design professionals and key city officials, this meet-and-greet offers a unique opportunity to connect with the leaders shaping Philadelphia's built environment.
Commissioner Del Rossi's mission is to create a cleaner, greener, and safer city for residents, businesses, and visitors by maintaining and enhancing the transportation network. She brings extensive knowledge from her various roles within the department, ranging from District Traffic Engineer to Chief Engineer and Transportation Director of Operations. Her vast experience in public service and city planning has provided her with valuable insight into the complexities of managing a city's transportation infrastructure.
Appointed in January 2024, she has led major initiatives to modernize Philadelphia's streetscape, improve pedestrian safety, and promote sustainable transportation alternatives.
This event presents an excellent opportunity to hear from Commissioner Del Rossi and her Executive Leadership Team about current and upcoming projects, including the future of public transit, cycling infrastructure, stormwater management, and the integration of green design into the city's streetscape. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions and discuss how architects, designers, and city planners can collaborate to enhance Philadelphia’s public spaces.
Coffee and donuts will be served.
