AS+P is an architectural firm located in Jenkintown, PA, specializing in custom residential projects. It is well-known for its design of “Asher Houses”, which grace the streets, bays and beaches of exclusive New Jersey Shore Towns and Philadelphia suburbs and are recognizable for their elegant simplicity and timeless details.
AS+P seeks a full-time Interiors Coordinator to assist with interior project selections and specifications, including furniture, fixtures and equipment. The successful candidate will serve as the primary client liaison for interior design selections.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Interior Design Lead
· Conducts meeting with clients to discuss their style preferences and vision for the interior of their home
· Participates in Architectural Design meetings to provide full support and cohesive vision to the project
· Develop Mood Boards to discuss design direction of each room with the Client
· Develop Library of Materials
· Organize and Facilitate Vendor connections for Project
· Oversees Costs & Budget for the Interior Selections of the Project
+ Assist Client with the Following Selections:
· Interior & Exterior Door and Hardware
· Interior & Exterior Decorative Lighting
· Plumbing Fixtures & Equipment
· Tile & Countertops
· Cabinetry, Fit-outs and associated Hardware
· Closet Fit-Outs
· Window Treatments, Shades
· Interior Paint and Wall Coverings
· Wainscot and Ceiling Treatments
· Interior Trim Coordination with Architecture
+ Design & Documentation of:
· Tile Drawings and Bath Details
· Reflected ceiling plan with Lighting
· Fireplace surrounds
· Built-ins as specified on Architectural Plans
· Schedules for Hardware, Doors, Lighting, Tile, Wall & Ceiling Finishes
+ Construction Administration
· Communicate & Coordinate with Builder, Architect and entire Project Team during construction to ensure selections are tracked, installed as desired.
+ Leadership
· Participate in firm activities to strengthen office culture
· Share ideas and creative solutions to foster a collaborative environment
Qualifications
+ Work Experience
· 6 plus years' experience working in a professional interior design office. (High-end residential experience preferred)
+ Education
· Professional Degree in Interior Design
+ Software Proficiency
· AutoCAD
· Microsoft Office Suite (familiarity with Microsoft TEAMS also a plus)
· Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop preferred)
· SketchUp and Lumion (a plus, but not required)
+ Skills and Conduct
· Detail-oriented and organized.
· Ability to communicate design solutions in both 2D and 3D with Project Team and Client
· Excellent Time Management Skills and task prioritization
· Adaptable to project changes and timelines
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Maintains a high-level of confidentiality regarding projects and clients
· Communicative and professional with clients and fellow staff and able to relay information in an efficient manner
