CosciaMoos Architecture is seeking a manager in the Healthcare Studio to help with our growing base of healthcare projects. Having recently merged with BBLM Architects, we need talented professionals to manage new work in ambulatory outpatient, inpatient, health science and laboratory settings.
Responsibilities
- Lead project teams from project conception through documentation, construction, and occupancy.
- Develop client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact between design team and client.
- Manage and coordinate consultant teams.
- Create proposals for new projects, including solicitation of consultant proposals, coordination of scope with consultant teams and developing fees.
- Actively monitor progress of work and scope creep; work with clients to manage expectations and understand scope of services and deliverables.
- Lead client meetings and presentations.
- Actively partner with Principals and Project Architects, assisting with technical tasks when required.
- Proactively liaise with principals on a daily basis to inform on project development, challenges and propose solutions.
- Train younger staff in the management and leadership of teams
- Participate in business development activities to identify and connect with new clients, and develop the strength of the firm's public profile to attract potential clients and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree, or similar degree in Interior Design
- Registered Architect or accredited Interior Designer with a minimum of 8 years' experience.
- A demonstrated career focus on healthcare, laboratory and related project types
- Thorough understanding of project work plans, schedules, staffing, and budgets.
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects of complex scope.
- Thorough understanding of healthcare and laboratory related codes and regulations, including an understanding of the permitting process in PA, NJ and DE
- Strong technical knowledge to guide design and documentation for the above project types.
- Ability to work independently with clients and consultants.
- Strong communication skills, both graphic and written.
- Mindfulness toward maintaining client relationships through meeting deadlines and maintaining open communication.
