Position: Architectural Designer
Acela is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our Philadelphia or Allentown office. As an integral member of the design team, the Architectural Designer works directly with the Project Architect and Director of Design to develop design and technical solutions that support the development and documentation of the work. This is an excellent opportunity to positively influence Acela's brand and identity and, for the right candidate, demonstrate their expertise as a key member of the firm.
The ideal candidate has:
· A professional degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited university
· 2-5 years of professional work experience
· On the path to licensure
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Fully competent in all conventional aspects of architecture with an attention to detail
· Exceptional proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, Enscape, and/or other modeling software applications
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
Position Responsibilities:
· Provide conceptual design and design support documentation for teams working on a variety of projects at various scales and across several market sectors
· Supporting studio leadership with presentation materials for executive and design meetings
· Performs analyses of design, planning and occupancy studies, and limited design layouts.
· Supporting construction document teams with the preparation of both design and technical documents and assists with the review and processing of construction phase materials including RFI's, submittals and shop drawings
