WRT is seeking a full time BIM Manager to join the multi-discipline team in the Philadelphia office – based right in the heart of center city! Our current work includes a variety of planning, urban design and architecture projects of various types and scales including residential and mixed-use developments, K-12 and higher education buildings, master planning of institutional and educational campuses, campus building design, neighborhood master plans, and comprehensive plans. A successful candidate should be a proven leader in advancing the effectiveness of design initiatives through technology. The individual should be well-rounded and motivated to work in a highly collaborative environment with the firm's interdisciplinary teams of Architects, Landscape Architects, Urban Designers, and Planners. A day in the life of a BIM Manager may look like:
Typical Work Responsibilities:
· Advance design technology practices across all disciplines through implementation and leadership
· Mentor and support staff at all levels, including new staff onboarding and training
· Create and Maintain content libraries, templates, and training material, including rendering content (i.e. Revit, Virtual Reality, & other design software)
· Lead BIM kick-off meetings for new projects and assist project teams in model setup while providing continuing support
· Research, present, and analyze new design technologies to continually improve quality and integration across all firm disciplines
· Collaborate with I.T. team to accomplish goals such as deploying software, provide training, and staff support related to design software
· Day-to-day Q&A regarding BIM practices and/or other design technology software regarding content, workflows, and best practices
· Conduct presentations, include lunch & learns, and issuing workflow guidelines
· Meet with and report to leadership team to discuss progress on firms BIM strategic goals
· Maintain and develop AutoCAD standards
· Full time engagement in accordance with WRT policies, including currently working in-office minimum 3 days/week
The ideal candidate will have:
· Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Architecture preferred
· 5 + years of professional experience working in a design firm with specific practice in Design & BIM Workflows
· Proficiency in Revit with advanced knowledge of BIM and related design software
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proactive approach to engaging other key team members across the groups to drive initiatives
· Working knowledge and experience in AutoCAD, Dynamo, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray, Virtual Reality, Rendering, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite a plus
