CICADA Architecture/Planning brings thoughtfulness and rigor to the design of spaces and places for people of all walks of life. Located in the heart of Philadelphia, CICADA works with a variety of for-profit and not-for-profit clients including educational institutions, government agencies, public service organizations, community development corporations, private developers, and cultural organizations, all of whom seek, like us, to change the world for the better. We have built a reputation for responsiveness to our clients’ needs, cost-effective and imaginative design, and commitment to sustainable communities.

Awards
Casa Indiana: 2020 AIA PA COTE Award, 2020 Groundbreaker Awards, and 2020 Senior Housing News Award. PHA’s North Central: 2019 Commonwealth Award from the 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania and the 2019 NAHRO Award of Merit. Vernon Road Storefronts: 2018 Storefront Challenge Best Block Award. Schuylkill River Heritage Center at the Phoenixville Foundry: 2008 Preservation Alliance, Grand Jury Project Award. The Masterplan of The Village of Arts & Humanities: 2001 Gold Medal Winner Award for Urban Excellence, Rudy Bruner Award.
